Bitcoin Penguin Review
Bitcoin Penguin is a relatively new online casino that launched in 2014. It is based out of Costa Rica and powered by Soft Swiss casino software, which is a recognizable name in the online casino circuit. Their games are in five basic categories: card games, poker games, roulette, video poker, and slots.
Bitcoin Penguin features a refer-a-friend program that offers you bitcoins after getting someone else to sign up for the website. Anyone signed up, has access to their newsletter and social media sites, which offer further details for deals and specials that happen regularly. Finally, they offer a high roller bonus – every time you deposit more than one bitcoin at one time, you immediately receive 0.5 bitcoin to play with as well. This bonus can be claimed any number of times.
Bitcoin Penguin features a live help tab on the side of the screen. Although it is a little hard to see, it is available at all times and features a comprehensive message box for describing your issue. Once you have filled out the box, you are directed to a live chat with a help professional so you can fix the issue right away.
The site is verified as ‘provably fair’ through their affiliation with the Soft Swiss software they use. The software has been verified by iTech Labs, showing in statistical measures that the random number generators are fair. Since Bitcoin Penguin operates out of Costa Rica, it is also designated as fair under that country’s gaming laws. The site and its transactions are secured through online encryption and virus protection.

Bitcoin Penguin Casino Review
There’s no doubting that Bitcoin Penguin is hastily designed, and while looks aren’t everything, the messy design really does impact on the quality of the user experience. Of course, this can be forgotten about if a site offers good bonuses though, however this doesn’t happen at Bitcoin Penguin. Only two bonuses are available to players (aside from occasional social media promotions) and both of these are quite stingy, only offering players up to 0.5BTC. At least the game selection is a good one though, and the fact that it is provably fair should mean that players are confident that their money is safe when they play there.
The selection of games at Bitcoin Penguin is very good, and they offer over 200 of them to their players. Many of them come from BetSoft, meaning that they are both visually appealing and crammed full of action. Some of the better games include Gladiator, Alkemor’s Tower and Good Girl, Bad Girl. A few of the games are less enjoyable though, and seem to have only been included in order to bump the numbers up. The fact that they offer slots competitions is a great addition though, and the prizes for coming near the top of the leaderboards are often quite generous. There are also some games with progressive jackpots, and the top prizes there can get quite large.
Perhaps the biggest problem with Bitcoin Penguin is this though: there is no live casino to play at. This is a massive omission, as the majority of other Bitcoin casinos offer this feature, meaning that Bitcoin Penguin are quite possibly missing out on a number of customers. If they added this to their site, they really would have the full complement of games to offer, thanks to the fact that the rest of their selection is very good.
Bitcoin Penguin has some good features, and some people will enjoy playing the different slots and other casino games found there. For most people though, the scrappy design and poor bonuses – as well as the fact that there is no live betting – will put them off, and cause them to head elsewhere. If all you require is a large selection of games though, this could be a Bitcoin casino that is worth trying out.
